Continuous movement of train through sheltered station after it initially slowed down and sped up after the locomotive was clear of the building. Some clipping of audio at midpoint.

Was out for a walk next to a bridge while a train went by, the rattle of the empty cargo containers contrasted rhythmically with the ones that were full. A freight train passes and a long distance express follows it. The express has been carrying travelers for more than 40 years, but people are switching to faster shinkansen, so the historical express disappears on march 13. This is a memorial recording. Mkh20 and mkh30, korg mr-1.
Set up about 15 feet from a railroad crossing and recorded a passing freight train. Nice whistle and approach, quieter later except for the rumble and scraping.

After a rain storm, if it's a hot day the mist will rise, particularly in my river valley. There are railroad tracks on the far side of the valley from where i live, about five miles distant. In damp air the sound really carries. This file is unmodified.
